Details are still emerging, but investigators know that a person entered the chapel on the church's campus and started shooting.
Fulton County Fire officials confirmed that one person was killed. The victim was a 48-year-old church staff member, possibly a member of the production crew; the person's name has not yet been released.
Investigators say the victim was on stage and leading a prayer when he was shot at point-blank range.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, wearing a suit and tie. He fled the scene after the shooting and is still at large.
The church, which is headed up by Pastor Creflo Dollar, is located on Burdett Road near Old National Highway in College Park.
The church's daycare were evacuated after the shooting. Parents have been called to pick up their children.
Nearby Bethune Elementary School and McNair Middle School were temporarily on lockdown after the shooting, according to a Fulton County Schools spokesperson. The lockdown has since been lifted.
World Changers Church holds a 10 a.m. service on Wednesdays.

That's strange that this should happen at his church. I just heard on the radio the other day, that he had said " Church-members that don't pay their tithes should be lined up and shot".
