I started weeping and feeling so sad about his death, until the thought came to me that the spirit of his name is waiting for someone to continue on with the message of equity for our people. I'm sure that people will name their children after him to call forth his spirit. Isn't that what resurrection means?

Today the world has lost one of its most important leaders and one of its finest human beings. And Hillary, Chelsea and I have lost a true friend.

History will remember Nelson Mandela as a champion for human dignity and freedom, for peace and reconciliation. We will remember him as a man of uncommon grace and compassion, for whom abandoning bitterness and embracing adversaries was not just a political strategy but a way of life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Graça and his family and to the people of South Africa. All of us are living in a better world because of the life that Madiba lived. He proved that there is freedom in forgiving, that a big heart is better than a closed mind, and that life’s real victories must be shared.

OH LOV AND ONE MORE THING BLITZER SAID THAT HAS ME KIND OF CONFUSED...HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO SHOW SOME TAPES THAT CNN HAD TAKEN ON MANDELA IN 1994 THT COULD NOT BE SEEN UNTIL AFTER IS DEATH...THEN HE SHOED A COT ON A SPLIT SCREEN AND A LOT OF OTHER SPLIT SCREEN STUFF AND I HAVE BEEN WONDERING IF HE IS SAYING YOU CAN GET IT ON THE NET STREAMING ON THEIR CNN INTERNET...SOMETING MAYBE YOUR COMPUTER EXPRETEES AAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.
